Frequently Asked Questions

Turnaround times vary based on how the editing process goes. Some resumes are finalized within a day or two, others take over a week. On average, the process takes about one week. 

First drafts are sent within 5-7 business days after purchase (unless you have purchased the Rush option). Please keep in mind that with first drafts, changes are to be expected, in fact, welcomed. First drafts are rarely perfect, but the collaborative process is what leads to a great final product. Our writers use the information you send to create a first draft, and sometimes, follow up is required.

PDFs will be sent during the review process. Word and PDF versions will be sent once your resume is finalized.

If you would like to talk about your first draft over the phone, please let us know as soon as possible so we can schedule a time to talk and not delay the resume writing process. Please allow at least one business day to schedule your call. 

When you open your documents in Word, please make sure you have the latest version of Word installed. If you view your document in a Preview pane in your email/browser, the formatting may not look right. We cannot fix compatibility issues, and we cannot address formatting issues in Preview panes because this is not actually a Word/formatting problem, it’s a browser issue. Please always send your resume to employers/recruiters in PDF format for this reason.
